1.INTRODUCTION
In the Chinese market, polyether monomers mainly include MPEG, APEG and TPEG. Polyether monomers have been widely used in the construction industry, daily chemical, pharmaceutical manufacturing and other fields, in which the construction industry (mainly polycarboxylate water reducing agents) consumes the most polyether monomers. The production capacity of domestic polycarboxylate plasticizer was about 1.29 million tonnes; there were over 30 polyether monomer manufacturers, and 9 of them have over 40 thousand tonnes output annually.
In 2015, the output of polyether monomer was about 1.04 million tonnes with 30.02% YoY growth; the sales volume was about 940 thousand tonnes, which was 30.9% YoY growth. ASKCI forecast, the output of polyether monomer will reach 3.96 million tonnes, and the consumption will reach 3.67 million tonnes by 2021.
